I am an enthusiastic Data Scientist. I have years of experience designing and building AI systems ranging from predictive ML models, Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) ecosystems, NLP pipelines and models, Search/Personalized systems, and lately, making use of GenAI with LLMs such as GPT/Gemini/LlaMa. Having started in academia, where I got my PhD in Personalized Search, I felt that I needed to contribute to real-world products, thus ending by enrolling in an early-stage startup. This allowed me to be involved in the whole product life-cycle, from the very beginning client's requirements acquisition to the maintenance of the final deployed system, from where I have learned a set of invaluable skills. Over the years, I have focused more on the technical part, but never forgetting to include the client/user needs while developing the most quality/performance/cost-effective systems.
