I am a passionate Cloud Architect, Site Reliability Engineer, and DevOps Technical Leader with over twenty years of experience in the field. For the past five years at Deviget, I have had the opportunity to build the entire cloud infrastructure for a large retail company from scratch. It has been an incredible journey. We initially started with AWS EC2, Jenkins, and Hashicorp Packer to implement CI/CD for Magento, enabling zero downtime deployments to production. After gaining in-depth knowledge of how this e-commerce application behaves in the cloud, we transitioned to a more serverless approach. We implemented Kubernetes, Docker, and Bitbucket pipelines to run the entire stack in multiple environments. This shift resulted in significant performance improvements and budget optimizations. As the DevOps department expanded, we hired a skilled DevOps engineer to help optimize and maintain the infrastructure 24/7. This gave me the opportunity to take on a leadership role while still being hands-on. With our stable infrastructure and additional support, I have been able to embark on a new project within the same company. I am responsible for building the infrastructure, ensuring security, implementing pipelines, and promoting best practices throughout the project. My journey began as a Linux System Administrator, which laid the foundation for my detail-oriented profile focused on best practices and vendor recommendations. Over the past seven years, I have provided Infrastructure Architecture and Implementation services to various projects across different industries, ranging from Fintech startups to Retail Public Companies. I have a proven track record of success in designing and implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines using both serverless CI systems and self-hosted solutions. I am experienced in working with stateful and stateless applications within the microservices universe. Recently, I have primarily worked with Agile/LEAN friendly teams, making me a strong advocate for these techniques.
